1. Exemption to apply for a Hong Kong driver’s license

Overseas driving license holder driving in Hong Kong
Those who hold overseas driving licenses want to drive in Hong Kong, and one of the following methods can be used:
(1) Apply for the official driving license for the application for the exemption;
(2) Apply for a temporary driving license; or
(3) If you are a visiting traveler in Hong Kong, you will arrive in Hong Kong, but those who do not live in Hong Kong for more than 12 months) can apply for an effective overseas driving license or an international driving license to apply for a formal driving license.

Qualification
The overseas driving license issued by the recognition country (including China) or local;

Overseas driving license must:
(1) Still valid or valid for more than three years; and
(2) It was obtained after successfully completing the relevant driving test in the issuance of the country or local.
The types of vehicle applications must authorize the category where the driver’s license is issued by the driver’s license.

In line with one of the following provisions:

3. Exemption of Macau driver’s license service objects and application qualifications

Applicants must hold at the same time:
1. Macau resident ID card;
2. The following effective driving license:
Driving license issued by the country and region of the “Road Transportation Convention”;
The motor vehicle driving license of the People’s Republic of China (from May 16, 2023, and only a driver category of small automotive (C1), small automatic transmission vehicles (C2) or above in the Mainland can be exempted from the Macau Light Class B or B or Class B or Class B.
