In order to further facilitate personnel exchanges between Guangdong and Macao, Guangdong and Macao have agreed that starting from January 1, 2019, all existing Guangdong and Macao private cars (Guangdong, Z and Macao license plates) can pass through the Zhuhai Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge with a stamp of approval. Relevant car owners must first apply to the Traffic Management Bureau of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Public Security to add a bridge port or add a bridge port when handling daily business, and go to the customs and border inspection departments to complete the vehicle and driver registration procedures before they can drive. Travel between Guangdong and Macao via the Bridge Port. Cars from Guangdong and Macao that were originally approved to pass the bridge port without a visa can continue to pass without a visa during the validity period of the approval. If the approval has expired, they must first go through the approval extension and visa-exemption procedures before they can pass through the bridge port.
Car owners need to be particularly reminded that in order to facilitate quick customs clearance for car owners, relevant vehicles must be equipped with vehicle identification electronic tags (i.e., car cards) in accordance with port customs clearance regulations, and only after receiving the driver’s electronic identification tag (i.e., driver’s card) can the registered driver hold it. With valid exit and entry documents, approval documents and other relevant documents, you can drive between Guangdong and Macao through the bridge port. Relevant parties are requested to keep each other informed.
