1. The first application for the restricted area paper

2. Renewal (no changes in vehicles and drivers)
(1) Approval: The valid “Guangdong -Hong Kong -Macao motor vehicle exchanges and driver driving approve notices” issued by the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department are the original;
(2) A copy of the Hong Kong Business Registration Certificate or the Certificate of Certificate of the People’s Congress/CPPCC (if applicable);
(3) If the applicant is not a registered car owner of a private car, it must submit a copy of the documents that prove the relationship between the owner and the applicant (such as the annual application form or commercial registration of the last year).
3. Renewal (the driver has changed)
(1) Approval: The valid “Guangdong -Hong Kong -Macao motor vehicle exchanges and driver driving approve notices” issued by the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department are the original;
(2) A copy of the Hong Kong Business Registration Certificate or the Certificate of Certificate of the People’s Congress/CPPCC (if applicable);
(3) If the applicant is not a registered car owner of a private car, it is necessary to submit a copy of the documents that prove the relationship between the owner and the applicant (such as the anniversary declaration form or commercial registration of the last year);
(4) Driver’s identity document and a copy of the official driving license in Hong Kong.
4. Replace the vehicle
(1) Approval: The valid “Guangdong -Hong Kong -Macao motor vehicle exchanges and driver driving approve notices” issued by the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department are the original;
(2) A copy of the Hong Kong Business Registration Certificate or the Certificate of Certificate of the People’s Congress/CPPCC (if applicable);
(3) A copy of the Hong Kong vehicle registration document (the vehicle must have a valid vehicle license);
(4) If the applicant is not a registered car owner of a private car, it is necessary to submit a copy of the documents that prove the relationship between the owner and the applicant (such as the anniversary declaration form or commercial registration of the last year);
(5) All ports of the existing valid closed road pass permits.
5. Change driver information
(1) Approval: The valid “Guangdong -Hong Kong -Macao motor vehicle exchanges and driver driving approve notices” issued by the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department are the original;
(2) Driver’s identity document and a copy of the official driving license in Hong Kong.
In addition to the application without quota, new applications generally take 5 working days.
Renewal / replacement of vehicle applications, if the applicant prepares the required documents and submit an application before 4.45 pm on Monday to Friday, the Transport Department will generally issue a license on the same day.
