Since January 20, 2017, our bureau has officially implemented the electronic chip-based “Notice of Approval for Motor Vehicles Traveling between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao and Drivers” (hereinafter referred to as the electronic approval document), and has set a three-year period from January 20 to April 19. During the transition period, electronic approval documents and paper approval documents will be used in parallel. Since the port joint inspection unit has not completed the system docking work, in order to facilitate the parties involved in handling relevant business, our bureau decided to extend the parallel transition period of electronic approval documents and paper approval documents to June 30, 2017.
